The Friends Of Ysgol y Castell was set up as an organisation to raise funds for the school. The emphasis is on the children having fun at events put on by the Friends - our end of term discos, film nights etc. We also put on family events - BBQs, Christmas Fayres and the occasional event for adults.

es to keep the fun in fundraising whilst raising
some much needed cash for the school. We would welcome anyone interested in joining the committee. We meet on a monthly basis and any fundraising ideas or raffle prize donations are particularly welcome. You can also help by simply participating in as many events & fundraising initiatives as you can.
About us:
We are parent, grandparents and other friends of the school who volunteer our time to raise money for the benefit of every child in the school. Most recently we’ve raised enough money to:
*Match fund the new play equipment on the front yard 
*Purchase £4000 worth of books for the school
*Purchase new sports kits for the school athletics and rugby teams as well as nearly £700 worth of gym mats.
*Purchase sun hats for every child in the foundation phase to use outdoors during the summer term.
